Inside Out Outside In: Domestic Commitments, 2016
If you put together two supposedly oppositional ideas, they will often present a new question. What could Dirt and Lace have to say to each other?
The lessons of home start and extend out to our relationship to landscape. As art can do, this work is intended to ask questions about the ideas of home, work, and worth:
What is the limit of Domesticity? Is it outside as well as inside?
Shall I walk through this? -- it's just dirt.
Shall I care and commit to caring for Dirt as well as for gold?
Am I aware of my living arrangement with the earth?
